Fail. Allow yourself to appear Nieve. Look Stupid.
There is no shame in any of these things as long as you are acting on behalf of your fellow man, and you are LEARNING. There is NO SUCH THING as a stupid question, I don’t care what it is, except for the one you didn’t ask when you didn’t know because you were afraid. Don’t let ANYBODY EVER make you feel ashamed about learning. If they do, it’s because you being vulnerable makes them feel...

I've got an idea for a new game...
Let’s all tell stories about fear…
They can be true, first hand or second hand, but it’s got to be a story about someone being confronted by fear, and how they dealt with it.
… This might be a good game for the Speare Bearer’s audiences to play…

The `Speare Bearer: My friend, The Red Bastard.
My friend Eric Davis, the Red Bastard, an incredible performer/artist/clown, lives in Hollywood, CA, where he performs in the Cirque de Soleil show, Iris, and he was nice enough to let me stay with him, and his wonderful girlfriend Deanna Fleysher, also a terrific actor/artist/clown while I was in town.
I interned for Eric in New York for a year...

My Long Term Goal
My long term goal is to build a theater in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, that hosts: a free Shakespeare festival every year with many of the best actors in Brooklyn and the world, a free, year-round classical film series, it’s own ensemble(s) of actors, writers and directors, including an improv/sketch comedy/clown troupe, and have a small shoppe inside that is a Tea Room/West Indian Roti Shop....

The Speare Bearer: Meet Micha Retz, One of the... →
I Micha and two of his wonderful children in Alpine, CA about a month ago. My riding buddy Brent and I were scrambling through this ritzy town looking for a place to camp, by this point a few folks, including a church and a fire station found is too unsavory and turned us away, but two nice fellas, and a scrappy young lad in a van waved us down, said we could stay with them, and told us to follow...

As The Speare Bearer approaches his halfway mark,... →
I just want to be really frank with all my friends, and the followers of this blog. While I’m out here, when I perform for people, I tell them the show is free, because I’d rather perform for free than have people refuse the show and find yet another reason to shun theater and shun Shakespeare. I give them all a card hoping they’ll donate later, which is kind of what this is...

I know I went nuts on the updates today, and I’m not near done. They are so erratic and missing dates because there are so many of them, and I’m doing them all from my new phone, which has limited capabilities, and a lot of the material was transferred from my old phone a bit haphazardly. Forgive me. Love you all. More to come.
