In Eugene, OR, I stayed with a really cool lady named Tree Bressen. She was the coolest host, even though I immediately lost her spare key right after she entrusted it to me… She was very knowledgeable about Eugene and most of the biking in the area.
Tree also has a really interesting job. She is a group skills facilitator. She helps to teach/coach non-profit groups toward better listening and communication skills. She told me about this cool card deck her and her colleagues created, a comprehensive deck of fun, sort of trading cards, characterizing another positive, affirmative communication technique, along with a cool design and a short description.
I just thought it was a really cool idea, and that thr deck was actually quite interesting and impressive, so I thought I’d share the link here on my blog. I believe the site offers this deck, officially called the “Group Pattern Language Project”, for free.
So of you’re in the market for some.positive vibes, fluid communication, and fostering and affirming supportive environment in whatever meetings you’re holding, maybe you want to look into this.
